Santa Fe Int'l Folk Festial

Marcia Smith, SueAnn Wade-Crouse and I went to Santa Fe for the annual International Folk Art Festival July 11 and 12.  We stayed at Ten Thousand Waves, hit galleries along Canyon Road and the Railyard area (which we loved!), plus ate and drank our way through Santa Fe for three days. I had a wonderful time with two of the funniest and cleverest women I know.

New Family Members

Ralphie, a mixture of Pom and Chihuahua? is a new family member as of Christmas.  He weighed in at 6.5 pounds, but as of today weighs at least 12.   Also, here's a picture of Chancy, his best friend, who is an 82-bound full-blooded German Shepherd.  Penny and Pauly, our Australian zebra finches, had three babies:  Mannie, Minnie and Moonie.

Tin Toys

Anyone interested in wind-up toys?  All are tin, some are antique, but mostly they're reproductions.   I purchased most of these over 20 years ago, and have 100+ that need to find a new home.  If interested, contact me at 575.545.1053.

Benefit for Joni Gorsuch

We held a benefit for Joni Gorsuch who has COPD and is now with hospice.  Joni is Ginny Wolf's mother.  The fundraiser was held at The Vine in Silver City.  Several local musicians played, poets performed, and artists donated their work for a live auction.  Artists who donated work included:  Lee McCune, Ann Simonsen, Jeff Turner, Patty Clayton-Leff, Valerie Milner, Kourosh Amini, Teri Todd, Linda Aurenhammer, Lois Duffy, Gordee Headlee, Ginny Wolf, Deb Harrington, Alan Cox, and many many more.  Here is some of the amazing art that was auctioned.

The town of Silver City, NM holds Weekend at the Galleries (WAG) every year during October. This year my cigar boxes are represented by the gallery, Elemental Arts, owned by Valerie Milner. Valerie has down a great job of selling these!
